Dravid admits ''The Wall'' is vulnerable to McGrath

London, Mar 19 (UNI) The only bowler in the world who makes Rahul Dravid unsure at the crease with his consistent off stump line is Glenn McGrath and the Indian skipper has no hesitation in admitting that the Aussie spearhead's ''relentlessness'' makes his otherwise strong defence vulnerable.

''Glenn McGrath. I'm generally sure where my off stump is, but against the bounce and relentlessness of McGrath I never know,'' Dravid told the ''Daily Telegraph''.

The Indian captain, who refuses to be clubbed with greats like Gary Sobers and Don Bradman, despite having a batting average to match them, says he is not even in the league of contemporary players, including the Tendulkars and the Pontings because ''I don't feel in that company.'' ''I feel I've made the most of my talent but the Tendulkars and Laras and Pontings have skill levels in a totally different league.

People love to watch them. I'm not saying they don't like to watch me. But it's a totally different experience,'' he said.

Dravid said he is happy to spend time in the middle and lay the foundation for the hitters to come and smash the ball around.

''I know my role is to spend a lot of time at the crease and wear the bowlers down to allow the strokemakers to express themselves. My 95 at Mohali did that which gave me huge satisfaction.'' The skipper, known for his concentration level, says he didn't have to work too hard to achieve that because ''Even as a kid I had the ability to concentrate on something for long periods of time despite what else is going on.'' Dravid says he lives by the moment without giving any thought to the future or the past, which has helped him to cope with the demands of his high profile job which involves keeping the cricket-crazy fans of the country happy.

''The key for me is trying to stay in the present - not thinking too far ahead or worrying about the past. When it happens it's a beautiful feeling,'' he said.

''You can bring joy and happiness to so many by playing well.
