Cut down agricultural production costs: K'taka Govt

Dharwad, Karnataka, Mar 19 (UNI) The Karnataka Government is serious about cutting down the cost of production, while increasing agricultural produce, Agriculture Minister Bandeppa Kashempur said today.

Inaugurating a Rs 80 lakh bio laboratory here, he said disease and pests were responsible for drop in production and steps have been initiated by the Department to control it.

The Minister said the Government proposed to provide equipment to small and marginal farmers under subsidised price and both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister were holding discussions with senior officials concerned in this regard.
