CSAU, Kanpur to get central university status soon: Jaiswal

Kanpur, Mar 19 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal today said the Chandra Shekhar Azad Agriculture and Technological University (CSAU), which has completed 100 years of existence, would be awarded the status of a central university soon.

Talking to newspersons, Mr Jaiswal said the Uttar Prdesh government has been asked to give a no objection certificate (NOC) in this regard. The NOC will be followed by the necessary formalities to give the technical university the prized status.

Praising the varsity, Mr Jaiswal said that the research conducted by the scientists had helped in attaining qualitative foodgrain production in Uttar Pradesh.
