Criminal involved in 18 kidnapping cases shot dead

New Delhi, Mar 18 (UNI) A notorious criminal, involved in 18 cases in the national capital region, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, was shot dead in an encounter with the Delhi Police tonight.

Ashok alias Bunty, who was wanted in 18 cases of kidnapping for ransom, in the four states, was killed in an encounter with the Special Cell of the Delhi Police at the DDA Sports Complex, Dilshad Garden in East Delhi at 2215 hours, police said.
