Criminal involved in 18 kidnapping cases shot

New Delhi, Mar 18 (UNI) A notorious criminal, involved in 18 cases in Delhi, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan, was shot at in an encounter with the Delhi police tonight.

Ashok alias Bunty, who was wanted by the police in the four states in 18 cases of kidnapping for ransom, was shot in an encounter with the Special cell of the Delhi police at the DDA Sports complex at Dilshad Garden in East Delhi at 2215 hours, police said.

He was admitted to a nearby hospital, they said.
