CPI(M) state secretary Anil Biswas undergoes operation

Kolkata, Mar 19 (UNI) CPI(M) state secteray Anil Biswas who was admitted to a nursing home here last night following a massive celebral attack has undergone an operation.

His condition is reported to be critical.

Incidentally, Mr Biswas was to leave for Malda on a pre-scheduled poll campaign of the party. He suffered the attack when he was about to leave his residence to catch the train.

As the news of Mr Biswas's admission to the nursing home spread, several senior party leaders, including Left Front chairman Biman Bose, state Health Minister Surjya Kanta Mishra, Industries Minister Nirupam Sen rushed to the nursing home to enquire about his health.
