CPI(M) leader Anil Biswas hospitalised

Kolkata, Mar 18 (UNI) CPI(M) state secteray Anil Biswas was admitted to a nursing home here tonight following a massive celebral attack.

Mr Biswas, who has been the main force behind the party, a major partner of the ruling Left Front in the state, fell ill at about 2100 hrs in the party office shortly before his departure for Malda for campaigning.

Party sources said Mr Biswas, also the Polit Bureau member of the party, was now undergoing an operation at the nursing home.

Many party leaders and workers reached the nursing home after hearing the news.
