CM releases inaugural issue of Sanchetna

Shimla, Mar 19 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today released the inaugural issue of ''Sanchetna'' magazine brought out by Sanchetna, a Non-Government Organisation dedicated to the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of the state.

Mr Singh appreciated the endeavour of the organisation in bringing out the magazine highlighting the rich cultural values and heritage of the state in the right perspective.

The state had vivid cultural heritage and was known for its originalility, he said adding that people from round the world visit Himachal Pradesh.

The Chief Minister said fairs and festivals are the symbol of the culture of the state. Exhaustive research is being carried alot by scholars to find out the origin of the varied culture of the state, he added.

He emphasised the need to associate the renowned art lovers with the activities of the organisation who could also contribute towards the promotion of the culture.
