BJP favours smaller states: Raja

Tirupati, Mar 19 (UNI) Senior BJP leader M R Raja today said that his party supported the formation of smaller states.

He said BJP had passed a resolution in favour of Telangana in the recent meeting held at Mahaboobnagar.

Mr Raja said the Government should also take steps for the development of Rayalaseema, which is drought prone, and without water resources.

He said we are ready to support TRS when they withdraw their support to the UPA Government.

If the Government constructs the Polavaram project on its proposed site, the tourism spot 'Papikondalu' will be submerged, he alleged.
