Two persons shot dead last night

Imphal, Mar 18 (UNI) Two persons were shot dead late last night in two separate incidents.

A suspected militant was shot dead by army personnel in an encounter at Irong in Imphal west. The body was recovered by police today.

In another incident, a bullet ridden body was recovered today by Chandel police. Police said the victim's hands were tied to a rope.

Police have sent both the bodies for post mortem, sources said.
