Two people shot dead in Manipur

Imphal, Mar 18 (UNI) Two people, including a suspectd militant, were shot dead late last night in two separate incidents here, police said today.

The suspected militant was shot dead by an army personnel in an encounter at Irong in Imphal west.

In another incident, a bullet ridden body was recovered today by Chandel police. Police said the victim's hands were tied.

Police have sent both the bodies for post mortem, the sources added.
