Nominations for RS found valid

Ranchi, Mar 18 (UNI) Mr S S Ahluwalia(BJ) and Ms Mobel Rebello (Congress) are all set to be elected to the Rajya Shabha from Jhakhand.

Their nomination papers were found valid on scrutiny today, Returning Officer and Assembly Secretary Sitaram Shani said.

The election was necessiated as the term of Mr Ahluwalia and Mr R K Anand(Congress) have expired.

As no other candidate filed nomination papers, both Mr Ahuwalia and Ms Rebellow would be formally declared after the last date of withdrawal on March 20, Mr Shani said.
