Mah Govt initiates inquiry against former CIDCO officials
Mumbai, Mar 18 (UNI) The Maharashtra Government has initiated a departmental inquiry against former CIDCO managing director V M Lal and other concerned officials in connection with alleged irregularities in the allotment of 50 plots between 2003-04, Minister Minister of State for Urban Development Rajesh Tope told the state Assembly today.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials are also investigating the matter, Mr Tope said in reply to a question and added that the allotment of 17 plots has been cancelled.
The investigation would be completed in three months and action would be taken as per the recommendations of the D K Shankaran committee report, set up to probe the CIDCO plot allotment irregularities between 2003-04, he said.
