Ghei enters top 10, Jeev moves up to fifth at TCL Classic

Beijing, Mar 18 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh continued his good form carding six-under 66 to move up to fifth place but it was Gaurav Ghei who made the biggest leap with a flawless seven-under 65 to enter the top ten after the penultimate round in the million-dollar TCL Classic on Hainan island near here today.

Jeev, who played a sensational nine-under 63 yesterday, started off well again gaining a stroke on the first hole and after a couple of par shots hit three birdies over the next four holes in his front nine.

On his way back, Jeev had back-to-back birdies on the 12th and 13th hole. He dropped the lone bogey on the 15th but made amends with a birdie on the next hole taking his total to 18-under 198.

Meanwhile, Gaurav Ghei keeps getting better with every round and today's bogey-free 65 saw him jump to the tied ninth at 15-under 201.

The Asian Tour Rookie of 2005, Shiv Kapur also found his touch and carded a five-under 67 studded with six birdies -- four on his way back -- besides the solitary bogey on the second hole.

His three-day total of 10-under 206 has taken him to tied 35th.

Amandeep Johl(202) and Rahil Gangjee (204) carded identical three-under 69 for tied 16th and 25th places respectively.

Overnight leader David Howell remains at the top at 23-under 193 after carding a blemish-free six-under 66 that included a quartet of birdies and an eagle on the third hole.
