Extensive development of UP during SP regime, claims Mulayam
Etawah, Mar 18 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today said extensive development works have been done during the present government's reign in the state.
Addressing a Janata Darshan Programme here, Mr Yadav said extensive development programmes were initiated by his government to enhance the living standards of the poor and weaker sections.
Mr Yadav asked the Kshetra Panchayat Pramukhs to get most of the development works being carried out in their respective development blocks, completed in time and also ensure quality in the construction works.
He said that other parties were targeting the Samajwadi Party and therefore the party workers should be alert and inform the people about the works done by the governmewnt.
Mr Yadav said that it has been decided to give pension to all the poor people irrespective of their castes and categories. He said that all the intermediate-pass poor girls would be provided Rs 20,000 each under the Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojna. A sum of Rs 600 crore has been allocated in the present budget for the purpose, he said.
The Chief Minister said that if compared to last year, a five fold amount was been spent on the construction of roads and bridges in the state by the PWD department and the PWD minister Mr Shiv Pal Singh Yadav should be congratualted for this .
