DPCC chief meets MPs, MLAs

New Delhi, Mar 18 (UNI) Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President R B Sharma today held separate meetings with MPs, MLAs and municipal councillors to find a satisfactory solution to the demolition drive against unauthorised constructions.

Along with him, Dr S C Vats, who was member of the Tejinder Khanna committee constituted by the Centre to sumbit a report within three months on the issue, also met the MPs, MLAs and municipal councillors separately to ascertain their views in a bid to give relief to the people, a statement said.

Mr Sharma said that the party would spare no effort to protect the interest of the people.

The party was aware about the piquant dilemma been faced by 'rehri-patri' (hawkers) in the city.
