Doctor sent to jail
Patna, Mar 18 (UNI) The special vigilance judge (in-charge) Patna Ramanand Sharma has remanded a doctor to judicial custody in a case of bribery till March 30.
Accused Dr Vinod Kumar Verma Medical Officer (in charge) of Kako Primary Health Centre at Jehanabad was produced before the special judge after his arrest by state vigilance sleuths yesterday.
According to the charges, accused Dr Verma was arrested from his residence at Patna by vigilance officials while receiving a bribe of Rs 3500 from another doctor Shailendra Kumar.
The accused had demanded this bribe for the disbursment of eight months salary due to Dr Kumar.
