DMK list of seats to be out in a couple of days

Chennai, Mar 18 (UNI) The list of constituencies to be contested by the DMK for eight polls to the Tamil Nadu Assembly is expected to be released in the next two to three days.

This was disclosed to newspersons by DMK President M Karunanidhi after CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat called on him at his Gopalapuram residence here this morning.

Mr Karunanidhi, whose party heads the DPA, said the Congress was expected to submit the fresh list of constituencies it wished to contest, either today or tomorrow.

''Congress leaders will meet me either today or tomorrow and submit their list'', he said adding the list of constituencies to be contested by the DMK will be released in the next two to three days.

Mr Karunanidhi described the meeting as a courtesy call.

Emerging from the meeting, Mr Karat said the constituencies to be contested by the CPI(M) will be named by this evening.

He hoped there would be a change of government in Tamil Nadu after the polls.
