CPI(M) to release manifesto by March end:Karat

Coimbatore, Mar 18 (UNI) Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Prakash Karat today said that his party will release its manifesto for the forthcoming Aseembly polls in Tamil Nadu by the end of this month.

Terming the ruling AIADMK Government in Tamil Nadu as ''authoritative'', Mr Karat told newsmen here that its conduct in the state assembly has only revealed its contempt for Parliamentary democracy. He termed the AIADMK Government as ''anti-working class, intolerent to opposition and adopting repressive measures.'' ''The CPI(M) hopes that the result of the Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu would be repeated in the assembly polls,'' he said, adding his party hoped to increase its representation in Tamil Nadu, Assam and West Bengal.

The party is expecting that it would get two thirds majority in west bengal for the seventh time, he added.
