Clearance necessary for political advertisements in TV

Guwahati, Mar 18 (UNI) Advertisements in TV channels and cable networks in connection with the ensuing elections to the state Assembly can be telecast only after receiving clearance from competent commitee.

The Election Commission has directed all political parties to submit applications to the committee, headed by the Additional Chief Electoral Officer of Assam.

The committe will receive and dispose of applications for clearance of such advertisements for telecast, official sources here said.
