Andhra Bank bags Asian award

Hyderabad, Mar 18 (UNI) Andhra Bank has bagged the "Fintech Asia2006" award for its initiatives under "any branch banking" service, the only bank in India to receive one of six awards by Financial Insight, based in the USA.

The bank has been choosen from a strong field of 100 banks and non-banking financial institutions to receive the award, which will be presented later this month at Bangkok, Thailand.

Financial Insight said in a special citation that the bank's "any branch banking initiative" provided a good example for peer banks, that should make a continuous effort to provide seamless banking services across various and widely dispersed customer touch points, a press release said here.
