Air pasenger carrying ten gold bars detained in city airport

Kolkata, Mar 18 (UNI) A middle aged passenger from a Delhi flight was detained at the city airport for carrying ten gold bars, airport officials said tonight.

Personnel of the Income Tax, vigilance wing, chaght hold of U S Verma (34) soon after his arrival at the city airport from Delhi on a Sahara Air flight at about 810 pm.

Ten gold bars weighing about three kgs were seized from the passenger.

Investigation was on.
