UP hikes DA of workers

Lucknow, Mar 16 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government has hiked the Dearness Allowance of workers employed in Dharmashalas, private libraries, furniture, handloom and tobacco units.

State Labour Commissioner Sharda Prasad said here today that a DA of Rs 1,548 will be payable to these workers for the period February one 2006 and July 31, 2006.
