Two students killed in road accident

Ongole, Mar 17 (UNI) Two intermediate students of Yeddanapudi village of Prakasham district were killed in a road accident this afternoon at Martoor on National Highway Five.

According to police, 18-year-old T Raghukumar and Venkatesh, both intermediate students, wrote their second year examination at Martur centre and were returning to Yeddanapudi on a two wheeler. On the outskirts of Martur town, a speeding lorry coming in the opposite direction hit the two wheeler, killing both on the spot.

The incident comes as a sad sequel to the death of two tenth standard students in Hyderabad riding a motor cycle without license, who hit a stationary vehicle. Since then, Hyderabad police have launched strict action against minors driving two wheelers.
