Two Patwaris arrested for accepting bribe

Jammu, Mar 17 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance organisation (SVO) today arrested two Patwaris for accepting bribe.

According to sources, Patwari Halqa Akilmir, Khanyar, Srinagar, Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat asked his assistant Mohammad Yaseen Kala to accept the bribe money from the complainant Irshat for recording mutations of his ancestral land and its demarcation.

But Kala was caught by (SVO) officials while accepting bribe of Rs 1000 from the complainant in the presence of independent witnesses.

Both the Patwaris were taken into custody for further investigation, sources added.
