Tribal officer dies in road accident

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (UNI) A tribal officer today died in a road accident in Nizamabad leaving his family without a breadwinner.

The officer, Ashok Kumar Nayak, was given a Group I officer's job as a special case after the naxal violence claimed his father MLA Dhirawat Ragya Nayak, a tribal during TDP rule.

Ashok Kumar died today when the vehicle in which he was travelling to Adilabad hit a tree while trying to avoid another vehicle coming in the opposite direction. He was the sole bread winner of his family after his father.

Telugu Desam ST Cell state Vice-President Amarsingh Tilawat and General Secretary M Krishna Naik condoled the death of Ashok, who they said stood by tribals, despite naxal enmity.
