Three girls rescued by police
Barrackpore, Mar 17 (UNI) Three teenaged girls belonging to Barasat and Madhyamgram in North 24 Parganas were rescued by police today.
A 14-year-old girl of Madhyamgram was sold to a resident of West Champaran district in Bihar, allegedly by a woman.
However, the police team from Madhyamgram failed to arrest her hostage, Manoj Singh.
Police said another team from Barasat police station rescued two girls of Nabapally from Shahpur village of Dewan district.
Police arrested one Mandira Sarkar on charges of girl trafficking and a case was registered agaisnt her, sources said.
