Suzlon signs Euro 465 mn deal for 100 pc stake in Belgium firm

Mumbai, Mar 17 (UNI) Suzlon Energy signed Euro 465 Million deal for acquisition of 100 per cent shareholding of Eve Holding NV, Belgium the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today.

The deal was conducted through Suzlon Energy's wholly owned subsidiary AE-Rotor Holding B V, the Netherlands (AE-Rotor).

The company to be acquired by Suzlon is engaged in the business of design, development, manufacturing and supply of industrial and wind turbine generator gear boxes.

''Upon satisfaction of the condition precedents under the aforesaid Share Purchase Agreement, the company will get indirect 100 per cent ownership of Hansen Transmissions International NV, Belgium, along with its subsidiaries in United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, United States and South Africa'' said the company.

The deal was signed by the company and its subsidiary AE-Rotor with Allianz Capital Partners GMBH and its affiliates and Apax Partners Worldwide LLP, the sellers of the shares, the company informed.
