SMC's vigilance enquiry reveals cheating
Surat, Mar 17 (UNI) The findings of an internal vigilance inquiry revealed that a Baroda-based medicine suppliers has cheated the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) by supplying wrong batch of medicines.
The company had received an order to supply six lakh tablets to treat malaria from SMC for Rs 1.20 lakh.
The tablets ordered was of 7.5 mg, but the vigilance department later found that the company issued tablets of 5.05 mg.
Dr Harish Sondhawa of SMC Health Department has filed a complaint against the company with the Chowk Bazaar police station, which has has registered a case of cheating.
