Showcause notice issued to Commerce Principal Secretary

Bangalore, Mar 16 (UNI) The Karnataka High Court today issued showcause notice to the Commerce and Industries Principal Secretary, asking why action should not be initiated against him for his ''deliberate inaction and disobedience'' of the court order regarding production of certain information about the proposed scheme to revive the ailing public sector unit NGEF.

Justice Ramamohana Reddy issued the notice and adjourned further proceedings till March 23.

The case pertained to winding up NGEF and selling its properties as well as the demand of the work force to revive the industry.
