Shamsheer shines in Princes Rita win

Jaipur, Mar 17 (UNI) Six-goal handicapper Shamsheer Ali hit brilliant 60-yard penalty in the dying moment of the match to enable Princes Rita rout Gold Souk by 8-7.5 goals in the Maharaj Prithi Singh Baria Cup at the Rajasthan Polo Grounds here today.

Shamsheer Ali, who recovered from chicken pox, slammed five goals including a hat trick, while Ajit Singh and Narendra Singh hit two and one goal respectively for the winners. Manupal Godara displayed brilliant game hitting five goals including hat trick while Lokendra Singh made two goals for the losers.

Two matches are seheduled for tomorrow. MPSF will meet Jodhpur while Princes Rita will take on Cavalry.
