Seminar on role of connectivity and visa in trade promotion

Guwahati, Mar 17 (UNI) A seminar on the 'Role of connectivity and visa in facilitating trade' between Bangladesh and North East India will be held here on March 19.

Keynote paper on 'Connectivity and visa issues between Bangladesh and NE India' would be presented by Prof. Altaf Jalal of Dhaka University.

The seminar would be organised by South Asia enterprise development facility, a multi-donor facility managed by Internatinal Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of World Bank, in collaboration with Bangladesh Enterprise Institute.

The seminar would review the status of trade under the current protocol and make recommendations to improve connectivity through inland water, land and air routes, besides dealing with procedures for visa issuance for traders of both the countries, a release added.
