PSEB down Western Railway in Shastri memorial football

New Delhi, Mar 17 (UNI) Punjab State Electricity Borad (PSEB) beat Western Railway, Mumbai, 3-1 in the All India Lal Bahadur Shastri memorial football tournament at Ambedkar Stadium here today.

PSEB went ahead in the 33rd minute thanks to a blunder committed by Western Railway goalkeeper Nitesh Thakur who let the ball slipped into the goal from his hands trying to collect a Dilbagh Singh corner kick.

A minute before the breather, Gurpreet Singh's shot found the net for the Hoshiarpur team (2-0). Harjinder made it 3-0 in the 60th minute, while Gurunath Reddy reduced the margin for the Mumbai team in the second half.

In another match, Signal Corps of Goa and Central Reserve Police Force, Jallandhar, played a goalless draw.
