Police bust gang of fake degree suppliers

New Delhi, Mar 17 (UNI) Police today claimed to have busted a gang, which prepared fake marksheets and degrees of several universities across the country, with the arrest of two people.

Police said Amjad Ali (22) and Ankur Kochhar (27) were arrested on March 14 for allegedly ''supplying'' the fake documents.

Scanners, computer and its software, CDs with fake data, marks sheets of different universities--Jamia Millia Islamia, Anna Malai University, Aligarh Muslim University and Delhi University-- were recovered from Ankur's residence.

Amjad was arrested as he was in the process of delivering the fake documents in Jamia Nagar and during interrogation he disclosed that Ankur prepared the papers.

Police then raided Ankur's East of Kailash residence and arrested him.
