Pak-US defence consultative group to meet in May
Islamabad, Mar 17: The 17th session of the Pakistan-US joint defence consultative group (CG) will be held in Washington on May 1, reports said today (Mar 16, 2006).
A local Pakistani television said the group will discuss all aspects of the defence relations between Pakistan and the US.
Defence Secretary Lt Gen (retd) Tariq Waseem Ghazi will lead the Pakistani side in the meeting and the US Under Secretary for Defence Douglas Feith will head the US team.
The group will discuss issues like the war against terrorism, Pak-Afghan border situation, military training, supply of military equipment and sale of F-16s to Pakistan.
The 16th session of the joint group was held in Islamabad in February last year.
