One more hostel employee arrested in rape case

Kolhapur, Mar 17 (UNI) The police today arrested one more employee of the government-run Tejaswini Mahila ladies hostel in connection with the rape and molestation of women here recently.

Police said Balasaheb Ghodke, a sewing teacher in the ladies hostel, was arrested after a molestation complaint was registered against him by two hostel inmates.

Earlier, the police arrested Vasant Mahadev Pawar, who has been remanded in police custody in connection with a rape case.

Meanwhile, state government Women and Child Welfare Department director Aswinikumar has transferred hostel superintendent Shilpa Patil and ordered a departmental inquiry, police added.
