NMCs standing committee's resolution to suspend 40 octroi empl

Nanded, Maharashtra, Mar 16 (UNI) Standing Committee of the Nanded Municipal Corporation (NMC) at its meeting held here late this evening, passed a resolution seeking suspension of NMCs 40 octroi employees for supporting the octroi thefts.

The resolution, moved by the standing comittee chairman Dilip Kandapurte, was passed unanimously.

The resolution would be put up before the General Body Meeting soon, the NMC sources said.

There were serious complaints against the NMC employees for allegedly being involved in the octroi theft, resulting into drastic fall in the revenue generation of the civic body, the sources added.
