NCR to run special train to clear Holi traffic
Allahabad, Mar 17 (UNI) The North Central Railway (NCR) will run special train between Allahabad and New Delhi on March 19 to clear the rush of passengers due to the Holi festival.
NCR sources said here today that the special train number 0259 will leave Allahabad on March 19 at 2345 hrs and reach New Delhi 1010 hrs next day via Kanpur, Tundla, Aligarh and Ghaziabad.
On the return journey, the train will leave New Delhi at 1130 hours and reach Allahabad at 2150 hrs the same day, sources added.
The NCR has also decided to provide two minutes stoppage to 1107/1108 Bundelkhand Express, 1159/1160 Chambal Express, 1123/1124 Gwalior-Barauni Mail and 1149/1150 Mahakaushal Express at Sonageer station till March 20 in view of the ongoing annual Jain fare there.
On the demand of passengers, the stoppage of 4056 Brahmputra Mail and 4723/4724 Kalindi Express has also been given at Khurja railway station for two minutes on experimental basis, which will remain in effect till June 1, 2006, sources said.
