Naxalites troch bus, blow up school building
Ranchi, Mar 17 (UNI) Naxalites burnt down a private bus and blew up a school building since last night in separate places of Jharkhand, police said.
The ultras torched a private bus near Herahanj-Kori-Mati area of Plamu district this morning. Unconfirmed report said two passengers of the bus were killed. The bus was coming from Daltanganj to Ranchi via Panki.
Police immediately arrived on the spot and were engaged in an fierce encounter. The number of extremists were about 100.
The extremists also blew up a school building by detonating a bomb at Palma under Tundi police station of Dhanbad district last night.
No one was injured in the explosion. Police immediatly rushed to spot and conducted search operation.
Earlier, on Wednesday they also blew up an Adivasi Students Hostel which was undergoing repair works, in the district. No one was injured in the explosion as the hostel was vacant because of the repair works.
The extremists had stepped up violence after hijacking a passenger train on the night of March 13 which was released after detention of about 12 hours.
