Naxalites torch private bus

Ranchi, Mar 17 (UNI) CPI(Maoist) ultras torched a private bus near Herhanj Karimati Basti under Panki police station in Basti Palamu district this morning, police said.

Unconfirmed report said two passengers of the bus were also killed.

On receiving information, police immediately reached the spot and a gunbattle resulted.

Around 100 ultras raided the bus when it was going from Daltanganj to Ranchi via Panki, police said.

The bus belonged to the brother of Panki MLA Videsh Singh.
