MP to come out with new I-T policy
Bhopal, Mar 17 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government will come out with the country's ''most attractive'' information technology policy soon to attract reputed companies to the state.
The draft of the proposed policy was finalised at a high-level meeting presided over by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here yesterday, official sources said.
The new policy, awaiting the cabinet's approval, would augment employment opportunities, improve administrative efficiency and bring greater transparency in the administration, Mr Chouhan said.
The new policy had been prepared keeping in view the facilities being provided to I-T units by different states. The state's earlier I-T policy, announced in 1999, had failed to benefit the state much.
