Judeo and 3 others files bail appliaction in a city court

New Delhi, Mar 17 (UNI) Former coal Minister Dilip Singh Judeo and three others today sought bail in connection with the sting operations being conducted by a Media house in Chhattisgarh in 2003.

Filing the application in the Special Judge I K Kochhar, Judeo sought bail on grounds that, 'he was a victim of political vendetta and the conspiracy was aimed at seeking political mileage, in the state assembly elections in 2003.' Amit Jogi, the son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, was also an accused in this case. The court had issued production warrant against Amit for April 18, the next date of hearing in this case.

The others who moved bail appliaction were Natwar Singh Rateria, the personal secretary of Judeo, Arvind Vijay Mohan and Rajat Prasad. B Singh Patel was absent in the court today. The court had fixed April 18 for hearing of the bail application of all the accused.

Amit, was at present lodged in jail in conection with another case, of the alleged murder of Chhattisgarh Nationalist Congress Party treasurer Ram Avtar Jaggi.

All of them were booked under sections 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy), 7, 13 (2), 13 (1), 12 of Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act.
