IT officials conduct raids

Pune, Mar 17 (UNI) The Income Tax (IT) sleuths today carried out raids at various places here and Jalna since early today.

The Directer of Income Tax (Pune division) Shiv Kumar Sharma told UNI that the raids were conducted at six places in Pune. A prominent educational institute, a leading real estate promoterc and developer and a steel businessman were raided by the IT.

About 80 income tax officers and other staff was involved in the raids, he added.

He said raids were also conducted at three places in Jalna.
