Indianoil to pursue pipeline projects abroad

New Delhi, Mar 17 (UNI) Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is expanding its existing network of nearly 10,000 Km of crude oil and petroleum product pipelines across the country and along with Stroytransgaz (STG) of Russia will jointly pursue economically attractive pipeline projects in India and abroad.

The two companies have earlier partnered in a consortium with Essar Construction Ltd for the successful implementation of the 133-Km Baroda-Ahmedabad-Kalol gas pipeline project of Gujarat State Petronet ltd. The two companies also jointly bid for the 300-Km Iraq-Jordan crude oil pipeline projects.

Stroytransgaz, a leading oil and gas construction company, has succesfully executed projects in Russia, Greece, Turkey, Finland, USA, Iran, Algeria and including India.

Speaking here after signing an MOU with the Russian company, Director (Pipelines), IndiaOil, A M Uplenchwar said the PSU plans to implement the Chennai-Bangalore pipeline, Panipat-Jalandahr LPG pipeline, Paradip-Ranachi-Raipur pipeline and augment the exisiting Mundra-Panipat crude oil pipeline which together could cost Rs 1,500 crores.

IndiaOil is also implementing projects like 330-Km Paradip-Haldia crude oil pipeline, the 132 -Km Dadri-Panipat pipeline, the 112-Km product pipeline from Koyali to Dahej and 274 Km product pipeline from Koyali Refinery to Ratlam.
