India, Russia to sign contracts on three frigates soon

Moscow, Mar 17 (UNI) Rosoboronexport Chief Sergei Chemezov said today, a contract for the construction of three frigates for India would be signed soon.

The frigates will be built in Kaliningrad, Russia's exclave surrounded by the European Union, RIA Novosti news agency quoted Mr Chemezov as saying.

He added that the construction of three frigates for India will be done in Kalingrad as the shipbuilding yards in St. Petersburg were currently catering to orders from China.
