Incredible India: Visa, Ministry of Tourism join hands

Mumbai, Mar 17 (UNI) Visa International today launched its 'Incredible India Visa Great Breaks' programme in partnership with the Union Tourism Ministry promoting India as a preferred travel destination in Asia.

The programme will also provide tourists with direct access to merchants across the countries thereby helping them plan their tours more effectively.

It was inaugurated in New Delhi by Minister of State for Tourism Ambika Soni and Visa International Asia-Pacific Country Manager (South Asia) Santanu Mukherjee, according to a release issued here.

The initiative is a part of the Ministry of Tourism's 'Incredible India' initiative targetting domestic, regional and international tourists and promoting tourism in India.

The programme has an immediate audience of more than 277 million Visa cardholders in the Asia Pacific region and 1.3 billion cardholders across the world. The move would increase tourism, as tourists could now look forward to a well-known global programme that would provide them a hassle-free, well-organised experience right from the planning stage, the release added.
