IBM launches 'Tivoli Reach Program 2006'

Chennai, Mar 17 (UNI) IBM India today announced the launch of Tivoli Reach Program 2006 here aimed at helping students and faculty members from the country's leading univsersities learn about the world's best IT infrastructure and Service Management Software -- IBM Tivoli.

The programme will also offer an opportunity for the participants to take part in a quiz contest on the use of security and storage management technologies in enterprise oragnisations.

Presently, the contest was open to varsities in Tamil Nadu, Delhi, NCR, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, a release here said.

The training for acquiring skills on IBM Tivoli will comprise hands-on workshops conducted by IBM experts and include classroom training sessions and online trading, which the students and faculty could access 'on demand.' IBM will also provide extensive reference material to help students and faculty understand basic concepts of security and storage.

An examination would be conducted after the training to test participants' knowledge on Tivoli security and storage management concepts. The top 500 students in each state will get a certificate of participation from IBM, the release noted.
