New Delhi, Mar 17 (UNI) London-based Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Nazir Gilani, who is the Chairman of the International Kashmir Alliance(IKA), was a few days back expelled from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir(PoK), for his diatribe on human rights violation in that area.

Dr Gilani, who was in Islamabad to attend conference of Kashmiri leaders of both parts of Jammu and Kashmir, went to the PoK to meet various human rights activists and political leaders, Dr Shabbir Chaudhry, spokesman of the IKA said.

However, the PoK authorities immediately asked him to leave the area, stating he had no requisite permission to visit.

Before shifting to London, Dr Gilani had spent more than 15 years in PoK. He is a leading human rights activist, who has participated at the Commission of Human Rights in Geneva and other international Fora.

Dr Gilani accused the Pakistan government of supporting a "group of jokers", who claim to be representatives of the people of the state. "The present leader are paid politicans, who are not concerned with the freedom movement." He rejected the self-rule proposal, stating that if the whole of Jammu and Kashmir became one unit, only then it was possible. Self- rule separately in three units is impossible".
