Day temp fluctuates above and below normal level in India

Pune, Mar 17 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of coastal Orissa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala and were above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Arunachal Pradesh, interior Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Chattisgarh and in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Haryana and south interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and of east Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal and south interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of south Rajasthan, Konkan and Goa. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of north Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and were above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and Taamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh state and Andaman and Nicobar. Mainly dry weather will prevail in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Karnataka.
