Cycling-Bayley wins keirin gold
MELBOURNE, Mar 17 (Reuters) Ryan Bayley stormed to victory in the final of the men's keirin at the Commonwealth Games TOday.
Bayley continued Australia's domination of the action at the Melbourne Park velodrome by edging Ben Kersten, the 1km time-trial champion, into second place in a frantic finish to the eight-lap dash.
Kersten was later relegated to last after he was called for entering the sprinter's lane on the final lap, elevating Canada's Travis Smith into second place for the silver and Scotland's Ross Edgar the bronze.
